Don Bosco Holiday
Camps 2011

The Camp is organised by the Salesians of Don Bosco, a Catholic religious order dedicated to the young. This is our 67th year of running camps at Dromana.
Activities
Swimming, fishing, sports, rock pools, beach games, cricket, treasure hunt, surfing (senior only), trampolines, singing, walks, rocket science, puzzles, indoor and outdoor games, films, liturgies, cricket, “mystery” tour, activities, concert, and many many more.
Please Note: during a Salesian camp there are prayers and the celebration of the Eucharist. All campers are asked to join in.
Staffing
The camp is staffed by professional personnel, including Salesians, and experienced volunteer leaders. All staff are trained and have been chosen for their ability to work responsibly and safely with young people.
Accommodation
Campers sleep in supervised dormitories. Bed linen is not provided. While we will not exclude disabled children from our camps, please note that the campsite has limited disabled facilities. (Please phone for more details).
Times
Campers can be signed-in between 10:00am and 10:30am on the first day of the camp. The camp ends at approx. 3:00pm on the last day.
Transport
A staffed Camp bus service is available for pick-up and return Campers from: Sunbury, Essendon and Chadstone.
The charge for the bus is $20 return. Further details and return times will be sent out with confirmation of booking. Other than this, parents/guardians are responsible for transporting campers to and from camp.

develop as persons and develop a wide range of abilities;

develop good memories of having fun together with other young people and adults;

experience God and develop their spiritual character.

We ask that the following rules and expectations
be read by the campers before applying.
CAMP RULES
Without exception, each camper is to take responsibility for his or her actions;
Whilst on camp all campers are to respect themselves, other campers, all staff, the general public and all property (i.e. their own and other people‛s);
Every camper is to follow staff directions at all times, especially respecting campsite and activity boundaries;
No camper is to bring matches, cigarettes, mobile phones, weapons, alcohol or unprescribed drugs to the camp.
CAMP EXPECTATIONS
We expect every camper to participate in the camp without hindering anyone else‛s holiday and to cooperate in making the camp a safe and enjoyable place for all;
We expect all campers to participate in liturgies throughout the camp;
We expect campers to help with daily duties.
Failure to comply with these rules and expectations may result in a camper being sent home from the camp at the expense of their parents or guardians.
